Is Elton John okay? Singer is said to have been rushed to the hospital after a bad fall.

After falling at his villa in Nice on Sunday night, Elton John was taken to the hospital.

The 76-year-old music icon was examined in the orthopedic unit of the Princess Grace hospital center in Monaco.

Elton was released on Monday morning, and his agent verified to MailOnline that he is currently back at home and in "good health."

In a statement, they stated that they can confirm that Elton visited the nearby hospital as a precautionary measure following a slip he experienced yesterday at his home in the south of France.

The statement added that he was quickly discharged this morning after examinations, and he is already back at home and in good health.

He suffered a minor domestic accident at his villa in Mont-Boron, according to a Nice-based source.

He was admitted to the Princess Grace Hospital's orthopaedic unit despite having only minor injuries.

After finishing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July, Elton has spent the summer in France with his husband David Furnish and their two sons.

On August 22, he was last spotted in St. Tropez spending a leisurely day aboard his superyacht with a large group of A-List friends.

Earlier this month, after the actor was exonerated of sexual assault charges against four men, Elton was also seen dining with Kevin Spacey in Nice.

Elton has chosen to stop touring in order to spend more time with David and their children, though he hasn't ruled out recording new music in the future. He explained that simply, touring is exhausting for me now, and he feels like it is keeping him away from his family and his kids.

However, he said he has not given up performing for good and will probably still play 'the odd show' every now and then."Elton values his family and has previously referred to his sons as "the greatest thing" in his and husband David's lives.

Elton referred to his sons in a letter to them that was published in Time magazine on the occasion of his 75th birthday as his proudest achievements. He also wishes them to be themselves - their authentic selves, when they become adults.
