It's been a while since Geezer Butler reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates and many fans have been wondering if there would be a reunion happening anytime soon.

More recently, the musician spoke about a possible reunion and he revealed whether he's up to meeting with his group again after all these years.

The band's bassist recently spoke with the "Rock Experience" podcast where he revealed that he would join his old pals in a "one-off" reunion as long as the other band members are into it.

"If it was worth doing and we were all into it, yeah I'd do a one-off," he said. (via 105.7 The Hawk)

However, the lyricist clarified that he couldn't do a tour anymore.

Black Sabbath Reunion Almost Happened in 2022

Elsewhere in the interview, Butler noted that he almost reunited with his pals Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi last year.

He recalled the experience, saying he was supposed to be a part of the duo's performance at the Commonwealth Games.

Unfortunately, he suffered from a broken rib at the time and he was recovering from COVID-19.

"I called Tony up, and I said, 'Tony, I'm really sorry, man. I just can't do it. They're not going to let me on the plane anyway with COVID.' So ... Tony and Ozzy went ahead with it without me," he said.

Per the outlet, Tony Iommy confirmed that Black Sabbath was offered to perform at the Power Trip festival this coming October, but they had to refuse the invitation due to Ozzy Osbourne's poor health.

Iommy later noted that he agreed to play at the event as a solo performer, but unfortunately, he had to cancel due to his health issues.

What Happened to Geezer Butler?

In an interview with Rolling Stone to promote his memoir "Into The Void: From Birth To Black Sabbath — And Beyond," he mentioned about his future plans, but it appears that he doesn't want to do much anymore after working in the music industry for over 50 years.

He told the outlet, "I don't want to do anything anymore."

Further explaining what led to his decision, he noted that he decided to retire before the pandemic when he and his supergroup Deadland Ritual was on tour.

Butler said it was hard to start from scratch as his band was fairly new at the time.
