Jessica Simpson traded her glamorous life in Hollywood for a more private life in Nashville, and it seems like she has a lot up her sleeve after the move.
"Being in Nashville, even my kids are like, 'You laugh the whole time. You're so happy,'" Simpson said during an interview. "It's because I'm not on guard. I'm with a lot of like-minded people. It's not about the celebrities-it's really about the music and the heart and the conversation."
The singer slash actress is no longer actively releasing music and starring in shows, but it seems like she is planning to turn things around now that her kids have grown up a bit.
Simpson revealed that she is, in fact, working on new music and is planning to make a grand return to the industry.

The singer, who has not released music in years, revealed that her hiatus has put her career into perspective and now that she has taken the time off to actually think about what she wants, she is going for it.
"I'm not nervous at all, but if you were to ask me two years ago when I was talking about coming back to music, I was frightened," the singer explained. "But now I know exactly what I want."
"I'm building my own platform. I'm doing it for the first time-the way I would-without a label telling me I need to do this song or use this producer. It's all me."

Jessica Simpson's Reality Show in the Works?
Aside from being a singer, Simpson is known to star in several reality shows such as MTV's "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica," "Fashion Star," and she was also included in her sister's reality shows "The Ashlee Simpson Show" and "Ashlee+Evan."
During the event, Simpson was asked about making a return to reality television, but this time, with her entire family.
"I think they wouldn't mind being on camera," she replied, obviously thinking about her kids being comfortable with their lives being shown on television.
Since becoming a mother, Simpson has been vocal about supporting her children and focusing on their lives.
Elsewhere in the interview, she gushed about being a football mom. "I love it! It gives me chills, but my son is so chill."
