Those who did not manage to snag "The Eras" Tour tickets in the United States can now definitely watch (or re-watch) the magic of Taylor Swift in the upcoming "The Eras" Tour concert film to be shown nationwide.

However, questions online emerged as Swift's movie came amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike in Hollywood.

How Did Taylor Film Her 'The Eras' Tour Concert Film?

According to a source close to Billboard, Taylor Swift's "The Eras" Tour concert has secured a provisional permit from the Screen Actors Guild to continue production.

Notably, independent producers who are non-members of the AMPTP that meet the same standard the union is seeking are allowed to seek a provisional permit via an interim agreement. The same source also revealed that the "The Eras" Tour concert film is included in the list of approved interim projects of the SAG-AFTRA under a moniker or an unassuming name.

For those who do not know, fan theories are right that there is an upcoming concert film to be released. Notably during Swift's Los Angeles concerts at the SoFi stadium in Inglewood, California, a production team has been seen shooting in between Swift's performances.

What is the SAG-AFTRA Strike?

On July 14, 2023, the 160,000-strong Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) actors announced a strike against the movie and television industry in protest of a fair contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

"The AMPTP's responses to the union's most important proposals have been insulting and disrespectful of our massive contributions to this industry. The companies have refused to meaningfully engage on some topics and on others completely stonewalled us. Until they do negotiate in good faith, we cannot begin to reach a deal," SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher said in a statement.

Until a contract has been waged between the SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP the actor members of the guild shall stop working on their respective productions, in solidarity with the guild.
