Diplo and Chris Rock were two of the thousands of people stranded in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada for Burning Man 2023. Fortunately, there were people with good deeds who decided to rescue them.

The famed DJ, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, took to his official Instagram account to share what happened to him at the famed festival due to the flood.

In the video, he explained that he and comedian Chris Rock had been walking for hours with his thumbs up in order to hitch a ride as he wanted to get to Washington, D.C., for a concert later that evening.

"I legit walked the side of the road for hours with my thumb out cuz i have a show in dc tonight and didnt want to let yall down," he wrote in the caption.

In the clip, the musician could be seen hanging out with the comic and other people at the back of a pick-up truck.

After getting a ride, their journey wasn't done as they had to travel to the airport. Another help came along as the duo was able to negotiate with "hippies with a van" for them not miss their flight.

"They didn't believe we would walk six miles in the mud. No one believed we would get to DC for the show tonight," he wrote. (via Page Six)

Finally, they made it to the airport and he then shared photos of himself in a plane.

After the Burning Man fiasco, the DJ was able to get to his destination and perform a three-hour set for his fans.

Despite the issues with flooding, Diplo appeared to have had a great time at the festival as he performed from a hot air balloon.

However, later that evening, rain started pouring down which later caused floods and mud throughout the venue.

According to latest reports, NBC News reported that there are still 70,000 fans isolated and stuck at the venue. Unfortunately, one has reportedly died but the cause of death has yet to be determined.
