Katy Perry and Litmus Music finally inked their deal: the singer sold her entire music catalog to the rights company for a whopping $225 million.

According to reports, the deal includes the singer's entire discography, songs from "One of the Boys, "PRISM," "Witness, "Smile," and of course, the critically acclaimed "Teenage Dream."

"Katy Perry is a creative visionary who has made a major impact across music, TV, film, and philanthropy," said Dan McCarrol, the co-founder and chief creative officer at Litmus Music.

Litmus Music is a rights company backed by the Carlyle Group LP; and Perry is not the only artist to recently sell her music catalog for a hefty price. Several other stars like Justin Bieber have done the same; he sold his entire music catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for $200 million.

"I'm so honored to be partnering with her again and to help Litmus manage her incredible repertoire,' McCarrol continued.

Katy Perry's Music Career

Perry established herself as one of the main pop girls in the 2010s, releasing chart-topping hits like "Teenage Dream," "California Gurls," "Dark Horse," "The One That Got Away," and more.

The singer obviously knows how much her music is worth and has handed it over to people who know how to handle it with the care she hopes for.

"We believe this is a testament to the team's ability to partner with the world's top artists," said Matt Settle, the managing director at Carlyle Group LP.

"Katy's iconic songs have not only achieved outstanding commercial success but have significantly influenced popular culture."
