A few months ago, Lana Del Rey made rounds all over social media and her name was among the viral words on several platforms for days after she was spotted working at a diner.

More recently, the musician finally addressed the now-viral photos and revealed the reason why she did it in the first place.

According to Complex, the "Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd" hitmaker went to Florence, Alabama, in July where she was photographed working at a Waffle House as a waitress.

At the time, many fans used it as a meme, but there were also serious ones who speculated that it might be for a possible music video.

Now in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Del Rey said she visited the country-side area to visit her family.

She was later handed a uniform and a name tag while she was having a conversation with one of the staff members of the popular diner chain.

The video that went viral was taken by the manager of the restaurant and many believed it was for a publicity stunt.

Del Rey later noted that she wished her album "had gone as viral" as her Waffle House photos and videos.

Regarding the aftermath of the hilarious encounter, the "Blue Jeans" songstress said she woke up to around "10,000 texts" the next morning, including from people whom she hadn't heard anything in over a decade.

Later on, the singer opened up about one of the things that amused her when she worked at the diner chain, saying it was a guy who comes to the place regularly.

"This guy, a regular, comes in every day and orders two things, so they were like 'Just go get it for him!' I brought him a Coke. No ice. And an empty cup," she said.

The reason why the man gets an empty cup every time was for dripping tobacco.

Aside from working at Waffle House, she was also spotted by fans outside a thrift store at the time where she interacted with her supporters and even signed a few of their items, including a poster.
