Guns N' Roses hit back at the claims that they postponed their concert in St. Louis because of the unexpectedly low ticket sales and shared the real reason behind the sudden decision.

Over the past few years, queries about Guns N' Roses being ambitious in their tours emerged as the public learned about their past low sales. Most recently, the band sparked debate when it officially canceled their St. Louis show and informed the ticket holders about the development via email.

Why Did Guns N' Roses Cancel St. Louis Show?

Far from what people claimed that Guns N' Roses suffered low ticket sales, Axl Rose commented on the decision and clarified that they were forced to cancel the show.

The concert in question was scheduled for September 9 at the St. Louis' Busch Stadium before the band postponed it due to illness. Guns N' Roses promised to set a rescheduled date but offered refunds to those who could not make it.

In a screenshot shared on Reddit, the band revealed that they failed to find a new date after postponing the show.

"Event organizers have been working diligently to reschedule the show to take place on the current tour, but unfortunately, they were unable to find a new date that worked," the statement shared in the email read. "We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we attempted to find an alternate date. "

It also quoted Rose, who said they were forced to cancel the show.

"I am, as is the band, really bummed we're forced to cancel our show in St. Louis," the singer said. "The history, the memories, the return and to share that bond with our fans. It sucks!"

Fans who previously attended Guns N' Roses shows before the St. Louis performance noted that Rose indeed told the crowd in Lexington, Ky., that he was getting sick and that his voice "was fading."

The singer also said that he suffered vocal issues while performing in Saratoga Springs, New York. Rose previously faced a similar issue when he suddenly felt light-headed and nauseous during a concert in Chicago in August 2022, affecting his voice, as well.

Slash's girlfriend also slammed those who created the conspiracy theories and confirmed that someone was truly sick and unable to perform. Instead of creating rumors, she asked everyone to give Guns N' Roses a break and wish them well.
