The Electric Zoo music festival again came to a disappointing early end during 2014, although it at least got a few hours into Sunday's performances before organizers called the event off due to bad weather. Promoters were quick to assure concertgoers that they'll receive full refunds for the the Sunday portion of the show, according to Dancing Astronaut

Those who held weekend passes will get 33 percent of their purchase price refunded, those with two day passes (with Sunday selected as part of the two days) will get half of their price refunded, and those with Sunday tickets will get all of their money back. Those who also had leftover money stored through the cashless Top-Up program (storing prepaid money on scannable wristbands) will get those funds restored as well without undergoing the typical $5 service charge.

"We regret that we had to make the tough decision in collaboration with NYC city officials to evacuate Sunday's show, with no re-entry, due to dangerous and severe weather conditions, including lightning strikes and high winds," read a statement from the festival. "We had a great two plus days and thank everyone for dancing with us again this year. Please stand by while we finalize the refund process, more information coming soon."

Making sure refunds were taken care of had to be at the top of the list for organizers after last year's fiasco. Last year's final day was cancelled after a pair of overdose deaths on Saturday and promoters Made Event LLC promised refunds. Those paybacks took a while to process however and eventually a lawsuit was brought against the company by irritated fans, a scenario the company doesn't want to deal with again.
