Nirvana's career came to an end after Kurt Cobain's tragic death in 1994, but reunion talks loomed decades after its debut.

Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic continued their careers outside the band's banner over the past few years.

While Grohl formed Foo Fighters - which was initially a one-man band - the Nirvana bassist started his solo career and collaborated with other musicians, as well.

Decades after Nirvana's unexpected disbandment, Novoselic delivered good news that immediately hyped fans.

Is Nirvana's Reunion Happening?

As part of Nirvana's "In Utero" anniversary, the 30th anniversary editions will be released on October 27 and feature bonus live songs and unreleased live recordings.

Speaking about the project, Novoselic said in an exclusive interview with MOJO and explained that the album songs "need to be heard."

"Now with the AI, you can take a stereo mix and then break it down into a multitrack," he explained. "So you can get really good mixes. They sound raw. And you get Kurt up there, who's just carrying the show. Amazing."

Although they lost Cobain decades ago, he reacted to a suggestion whether Nirvana would have a reunion in a similar style to what ABBA did in its "Voyage" shows.

While he laughed off the idea, Novoselic also admitted that he would be interested in doing such shows with Grohl under the Nirvana banner.

Kurt Cobain Was an ABBA Fan

The idea of following in ABBA's footsteps could delight Cobain, who was a huge fan of the band.

Former rock music promoter David McLean once told The Guardian that the late rocker would always show his love for ABBA when he was still alive.

"Everyone says Dave is the nicest man in rock. Kurt was great too," McLean said. "I remember his piercing blue eyes. He was such a genuine person. He put up a disco ball in the tour bus and would sing Dancing Queen because he loved Abba."

Cobain was found dead on April 5, 1994, following a suicide. He previously went into a coma and had a near-death experience after consuming champagne and Rohypnol,, which led to his accidental heroin overdose.

A reexamination of the case was done in 2014, and the Seattle Police Department ruled that his death was caused by a gunshot wound.
