Bad Bunny left fans heartbroken when he announced late last year that he would be taking a backseat from making and releasing music, however, the Colombian rapper broke his own word by releasing his first solo single of the year.

According to Pop Tingz, a pop culture news account on X (formerly known as Twitter), the "Titi Me Pregunto" rapper just released the new song, "Un Preview."

This is not the first time Bad Bunny has released music this year, but it is the first one that he did solo and is the first single or teaser for his upcoming album, which is expected to be released next year.

The rapper named it "Un Preview," which translates to "A Preview," because "it is a small preview of what is coming next year," he explained.

In addition to that, Bad Bunny also revealed that this song will "possibly" be the "last song" he will release this year.

Bad Bunny Goes on a Hiatus

According to reports, Bad Bunny announced his hiatus from music back in December last year.

"2023 is for me, for my physical health, my emotional health to breathe, enjoy my achievements," the rapper said.

"We're going to celebrate. Let's go here, let's go there, let's go on the boat. I have a couple of sporadic commitments, and I'll go to the studio, but there's no pressure. Remember yourself, cabrón. You've worked your ass off."

The announcement came shortly after he had such a successful and blockbuster tour as well as chart-topping albums and singles.

Fans were initially stunned and sad, however, Bad Bunny proved that despite not releasing music, he continued to work on several collaborations.

On top of that, he was constantly seen out and about this year with his girlfriend, model Kendall Jenner.

Bad Bunny's Health

One of the major reasons why Bad Bunny had to take a break from making music is because of his health.

"It was all of a sudden, like a click," the rapper recalled. "Seems like one of my vocal cords was suffering, and boom, it happened. And I'm thinking, 'This can't be happening. These people are giving me the most cabrón energy. It's the most euphoric audience I've had all tour, and I'm going to lose my voice? It's not possible.'"

As of this writing, Bad Bunny has not provided fans with an update regarding the condition of his vocal cords.
