Jessie J is not just a powerhouse vocalist, she is also a global artist. She has proven herself to be not just a talented performer but also an amazing hitmaker.
However, her music career seemed to have taken a pause since she got pregnant and gave birth to her son Sky earlier this year.
Jessie J Unemployed?
Taking to her Instagram account, Jessie J revealed to the world that she is now "unemployed."
Elaborating more, it was revealed that she has left Republic Records.
"My lawyer said that I need to make a statement about the decision that I have made," Jessie J said in a video on her Instagram page. "I don't want it to feel like a huge, big thing. After 17 years I have decided to leave Republic Records. I was about six months pregnant when I made this decision."
Jessie J released all of her five studio albums while she was in Republic Records - her debut album "Who You Are," "Alive," "Sweet Talker,' "ROSE," and "The Christmas Day."
"Monte and Avery Lipman and Jason Flom have been so gracious and kind in supporting my decision and letting me go," she went on to say about her departure. "It's been the most amazing high and low ride of my life. I just feel so grateful to have been signed to the best record label in the world. I have to just be honest with who I am and what I want from my career now."
Saying that she is now "unemployed," Jessie J has remained grateful for the opportunities that the label has given her throughout the years.

Jessie J on Motherhood
The "Masterpiece" hitmaker has entered a new era in her life - motherhood. In January 2023, she announced that she was pregnant with her first child. Months later, specifically in May 2023, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy - Sky Safir Cornish Colman.
Elsewhere on her Instagram video, Jessie J revealed that she is now sorting all the legalities so she can do music on her own way - admitting that motherhood has given her a fresh perspective on how to deal with things.
"Now I have had a baby there is just no stopping me. Something happens when you have a baby and just start giving zero f---s. But there is nothing but good vibes," she went on to say.
