The National Football League (NFL) has rode on the pop culture phenomenon that is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's budding romance.

The Kansas City Chief's tight end and the global popstar's relationship has been taking the world of sports and entertainment by storm, and it seemed like the NFL has been doing more than what they needed to do for Taylor Swift.

NFL Urged TV Networks To Air 'The Eras' Tour Film Promo

In a new The New York Post report, the outlet learned that the NFL had been urging TV networks last weekend to air "The Eras" tour film promotional video for free.

The networks, NBC, ESPN, Fox and CBS, were among the TV networks that the NFL has been pushed to air the material.

According to the outlet, ESPN and NBC have accepted the request reluctantly but without protest to show "The Eras" tour videos during the content portion of the show's pregame gap on Sunday and Monday.

ESPN played the promos during the "Sunday NFL Countdown" and "Monday NFL Countdown."

As for NBC, their free promo was played during the pregame show "Football Night in America," way before the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets game that Taylor Swift attended with Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sabrina Carpenter, and Hugh Jackman. NBC also played the commercial in the middle of NBC's game during a commercial gap.

Unbeknownst to many, the ad time, which runs for 30 seconds, are priced nearly a million dollar at a "Sunday Night Football" game.

During NBC's coverage of the Chiefs and Jets game, Swift has been highly spotlighted during the entire game.

Meanwhile, Fox and CBC have not aired the said material as Amazon, who has a pre-existing business relationship with Swift, was seemingly left out of the choice.

Travis Kelce Feels NFL Exploited Taylor Swift Attendance

In an appearance on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce openly sniped at the NFL concerning the intense coverage of Swift during his games, which resulted in many football fans' dismay.

"I think it's fun when they show who's at the game," Kelce said at the time. "I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you're watching. But at the same time, they're overdoing it a little bit."

Meanwhile, the NFL responded to this, saying: "The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we've leaned into in real time, as it's an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we've seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport."
