Selena Gomez and her best friend, Francia Raisa, might have had a tumultuous relationship over the past few months, but it appears that the pair are now repairing what they broke as the actress revealed that she's on good terms with the singer.

More recently, the star spoke with Extra TV to give fans an insight into her friendship with the pop star and revealed how they bonded for the first time.

Raisa said she first met the "Only Murders in the Building" star in 2008. At the time she was 19 years old.

The actress noted that she was working on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" on ABC Family at the time.

On the other hand, Gomez was on "Wizards of Waverly Place" on Disney Channel. There was one moment when Disney actors visited the children's hospital to bond with the kids.

Later on, Raisa said the singer was in her group and Gomez came up to her to tell the story of her mom who had a teenage pregnancy as she got pregnant at the age of 16.

The pop star then told the actress that she was a fan of her show. (via Pop Crave on X)

"We started talking, we both have boyfriends at the time, we started kiki-ing, talking about our boyfriends... and around the time when my boyfriend and I broke up, and her and her boyfriend broke up," she said.

They later bonded when Gomez called her to ask for her companionship.

"She called me and was like 'I'm going through stuff, you've always been so nice to me, and I'm going through a break up' and I was like, 'girl, me too.'"

Francia Raisa Says Friendship Issue With Selena Gomez Had Nothing to Do With Kidney Transplant

It's known by most people that Francia Raisa was the person who donated a kidney to Selena Gomez.

More recently, she attended the inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit to support her best friend and it appears that the two already buried the hatchet months after they had an issue online.

She then noted that the issue with her friendship with Gomez had nothing to do with her donating a kidney to the pop singer.

"When our situation came up... No, I never pictured that, but obviously I never regretted it. I am happy that we are here today, celebrating and supporting each other," she noted.
