Fifth Harmony was once one of the biggest girl groups in the 2010s, however, following their "hiatus," Ally Brooke revealed that they barely earn anything off their music.

"We literally have billions of streams. But, unfortunately, we don't get anything off of streams," Brooke said during her appearance at the "Zach Sang Show."

"But, thank God for Sound Exchange...Sound Exchange is amazing. We get like about $5,000 a month. But, that had gone away now and we're not sure why."

The host, Sang, was shocked to find out that the members, namely Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Camila Cabello barely get anything from their entire catalog, but also noted that it is a "larger music system problem" that is to blame.

Upon finding out, netizens and fans of Fifth Harmony were also surprised and saddened to hear about it.

"For being in a huge girl group?!! For years? lol. I should not be making more than a member of 5th Harmony. Pay these women their money," one wrote.

"These artists are really being robbed," another added.

Fifth Harmony 'Abuse' Allegations

This is not the first time a member of the girl group has opened up about being unfairly treated. According to reports, Jauregui revealed that Fifth Harmony endured "abusive" situations together when they were just teenagers.

"We were young adolescents thrown into the spotlight. Because remember, X-Factor is not even anything but a reality show that you're on TV in front of millions off the bat, and I think we all just had our own way of processing that," the singer recalled in 2021.

"I think that now we're at a point in our lives where we're healing from it, and we're each doing what we were truly meant to do for ourselves."

She also claimed that "so many adults" were taking "advantage" of them being newcomers to the industry, as well as them being young. "It's abusive," she described it.

Fifth Harmony Disbandment

While Fifth Harmony is technically still together, but on hiatus, fans and netizens consider the girl group's long break as a disbandment.

On the other hand, Cabello left the group before the group officially went on hiatus.
