The ongoing saga between former spouses Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock rages on regarding their daughter River Rose.

At only nine years of age, River Rose is beginning to make her mark in the world of child stardom.

However, the couple disagree about who will call the shots in managing her career.

Rumors have surfaced that there is a disagreement between Kelly and her ex-husband, who was also her talent manager, regarding River Rose's future in the entertainment industry.

The National Enquirer reported on the situation according to an anonymous individual claiming, "Kelly is so proud of her daughter, and she wants to create opportunities for her. But Brandon has a vested interest as River's talent manager and desires control over her career."

"It's a showdown that will surely go down in history," an insider divulged. "It looks like they have no intention of backing down!"

Recently, Kelly was bursting with pride for her daughter and shared the news on Instagram when River re-released her album "Chemistry." The album consists of five new tracks, including one that features River's angelic voice.

The former "American Idol" winner said in a post, I can't wait for y'all to hear the others songs on the deluxe, especially River Rose's feature."

"She was five years old when she was layin' down tracks."

In 2020, the divorce of Brandon Blackstock and Kelly Clarkson was finalized after a long and arduous process.

Two years later, the "Since U Been Gone" hitmaker was granted primary physical custody of their two children, River Rose and Remington, who were seven then. Nonetheless, due to court rulings, Brandon still retained parental rights over them.

According to those in the know, Kelly's requirement to provide her former spouse with a large one-time payment of $1.3 million plus generous child and spousal support caused her great displeasure.

Despite being told to stay out of River Rose's career, it appears Brandon refuses to do so since he is her father.

Adding to the heartache from her divorce, Kelly Clarkson's new album saw a disappointing sales figure of 53,657 copies despite River Rose's vocal feature. Tragically, the record became known for reflecting Kelly tumultuous split.

Those closest to Kelly are feeling her disappointment as her latest musical project, which was about her recent divorce, isn't doing well.

A source close to the singer commented, "The reception for the album has been dismal - it's almost as challenging to take as the end of the marriage itself."

"For Kelly, her music career is of the utmost importance. Though she may have succeeded as a talk show host, songcraft remains Kelly's first love."

According to a reliable source, "Kelly would pick singing over television any day. Given Chemistry's unsuccessful results, it might be best for River Rose to put her trust in her father, a veteran talent manager."

Still, it's best to take this report with a grain of salt.
