Drake released his newest album, "For All The Dogs" last Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, claiming new streaming records previously set by his last album, "Certified Lover Boy," and his collaborative album with 21 Savage, "Her Loss."

However, the album was met with quite a lukewarm review from critics, and one of them was from the outspoken retired rapper Joe Budden. Now, Drake is hitting back from his honest review of his album, and specifically sniping on what he said about his songs.

What Did Joe Budden Said About Drake's 'For All The Dogs' Album?

On "The Joe Budden Podcast," Joe Budden, as always, was candid about his thoughts about anything under the sun. This week's conversation was about Drake's recent project release, "For All The Dogs," his eighth studio album so far.

"He rappin' for the children. Yo dog, I had to look up how old this n-a was when I finished listening to the album," Budden told his podcast. "You are 36. Your birthday is in 20 days. I Googled that, too. You're going to be 37 years old. Get the f- away from some of these younger n-as. And stop f-ing these 25-year-olds."

Indeed, Budden was right, Drake is about to turn 37 years old on Oct. 24, 2023.

"I want to hear adult Drake rapping for adult people. ... He's rapping for the kids, the streams, the accolades. He ain't trying to rap for me. I accept that," Budden went on to say.

Listen to Budden's comment on the video's 56:44 mark.

Nadine Smith of The Independent echoes the same sentiment as Budden's in her two out of five-star review of the album.

"The childish pettiness and adolescent insecurities that were once endearing in their juvenilia now seem tired and immature. Instead of chilling out and settling down as he approaches his forties", the album "sees him acting up more than ever, in ways that frequently reek not just of insecurity, but outright misogyny".

Metacritic graded the project 47 out of 100 based on the review of four critics.

Drake's "For All The Dogs" boasts a fruitful of collaborations, including SZA, SexyyRed, Lil Yachthy, Teexo Touchdown, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Yeat, Bad Bunny, J Cole, and 21 Savage.

Drake Reacts To Joe Budden Criticism Of 'For All The Dogs'

In a lengthy Instagram comment on DJ Akademiks's post, Drake fired back on Joe Budden's recent sentiments about his album.

"@joebudden you have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success... a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity...," Drake ferociously roasted.

Drake even pointed out that Budden, a former rapper, had to switch careers because "the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque and the raps you write had 450 men showing up to your shows in dusty Enyce jeans."
