Steely Dan is an opening act for the Eagles' ongoing tour and their first set of shows almost didn't happen as five of the members tested positive for COVID while one of the group's founder's Donald Fagen was sent to the hospital.

According to a report by Indy Star, the musician canceled his appearance at the concert as he suffered from an undisclosed illness which landed him at the hospital.

Fortunately, the Eagles were still able to perform throughout the evening which fans enjoyed.

Rolling Stone Reported that Steely Dan wasn't able to perform at the shows in Denver on October 5 and 6, and in Indianapolis on October 9.

Fortunately, there were other groups available to fill-in for the band like Sheryl Crrow who performed at the Eagles' Denver shows while the Steve Miller Band became an opening act in Indianapolis.

As of this writing, Fagen's exact medical condition has yet to be publicized.
