KISS might be one of the world's most legendary bands today, but that doesn't mean they won't encounter problems in their decades-long career.

Most recently, it was revealed that the group is facing a lawsuit filed by the family of the late guitar technician, Fran Stueber, who worked with the group in 2021.

According to Loudwire, band is being sued for wrongful death and negligence as Stueber's widow alleged that her late husband's death was a "direct and proximate result of the dangerous condition created by defendants."

She was talking about the late guitar technician's illness as he contracted COVID-19 and later died after suffering from the health issue.

Rolling Stone reported that the defendants in the lawsuit include KISS member Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, as well as their manager Doc McGhee.

In addition, the promoter, Live Nation, and the hotel chain Marriott were also named as defendants.

KISS Gets Sued for Wrongful Death

According to an investigation by Rolling Stone back in 2021, it was alleged by KISS roadies that the lack of COVID protocols contributed to the guitar technician's death.

The recent lawsuit was filed in October 11, 2023 by Catherine Stueber and some of her family members.

Stueber's family claim that the band failed to enforce or have a stricter policies regarding COVID-19 at the time and it caused to have an outbreak among the members of the band as well as the people who have been working with them at the time.

As of this writing, the price that they're seeking remains unknown, but there will be special damages and other damages, as well as lost income and medical expenses.

Paul Stanley Previously Paid Tribute to Late Guitar Technician

At the time of Stueber's death, Paul Stanley took to social media to pay tribute to the guitar technician as he was also his good friend.

"My dear friend, buddy and guitar tech for 20 years, Fran Stueber died yesterday suddenly of COVID. Both on and offstage I depended on him for so much," he wrote.

The band member added that his family loved him like the way he did and Stueber was proud of his family.

As of this writing, KISS has yet to release a statement regarding the matter. There were also no court dates to discuss the lawsuit.
