Since the SAG-AFTRA is still on strike, Ariana Grande could not return back to filming for "Wicked," which meant that she has a lot of free time to work on her other passion - music.

Ariana Grande is wasting no free time as she has reportedly returned to the studio to work on her next album.

Ariana Grande New Album Details

According to Page Six sources, Ariana Grande is already working on her new album in New York City.

Although insiders said that Grande "wanted to focus all her energies" on "Wicked" before going back to the studio, the production pause gave her time to work on the "Positions" sequel.

"So far we hear it's just been the singer and the mega-producer in the studio," they revealed, saying that Max Martin, the same producer of "Positions" is working with her.

"Her priority has been Glinda [her character in 'Wicked'] for the past two years, and still is, as they haven't finished the film."

"She doesn't know when she'll want to release" an album, "as she wants to be respectful of the timeline for 'Wicked,' and originally didn't want to do any music at all until after the films were released," the source dished out.

However, the insider also assures fans that "She works quickly and drops [in] instinctively whenever she feels ready... so who knows?"

Over the weekend, when Grande was asked by a paparazzi when she would be dropping the new album, she said that she has to make it first - hinting that there must have been no finished tracks yet.
