It has been a hot minute since Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande launched their beauty brands: Fenty, Rare Beauty, and R.E.M. Beauty, respectively.

As per Buzzing Pop, a news account on X (formerly known as Twitter), the three artists have been relatively inactive in their music careers since they launched their makeup brands, which has caused fans to become impatient and worried.

Out of the three artists, Gomez recently released a new song, "Single Soon," a month ago, and prior to that music drop, she unveiled "My Mind & Me," the accompanying song to her documentary with the same name.

Meanwhile, Rihanna released "Lift Me Up," a song from the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" movie in October 2022; it was her first single in six years.

Grande, on the other hand, has not released new music since 2020's "Positions" album; she launched her makeup brand R.E.M. Beauty in November 2021.

Rihanna's Music Still Making Numbers

Despite her unofficial hiatus from making music, Rihanna has enjoyed a resurgence of interest in her music following her massively successful Super Bowl Halftime show earlier this year.

According to reports, the "We Found Love" singer's music broke several records on Spotify in July when she became the first female artist to have 10 songs reach a billion streams.

"Bad Gal bili," Rihanna wrote following the announcement of the milestone. "Wit no new album. Lemme talk my s**t."

The last album the singer released was "Anti" back in 2016, and since then, she launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, and it has made her a billionaire.

According to reports, the "Diamonds" singer not only shook the music industry, she also surprised the makeup industry by releasing her Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation which came in 50 different shades.

Selena Gomez Focuses on Rare Beauty

Just like Rihanna, the "Lose You to Love Me" singer has earned worldwide recognition following the release of her makeup brand Rare Beauty in September 2020.

The brand was launched a few months after she dropped her third studio album, "Rare," and she has not released a new album since.

Gomez has mostly focused on Rare Beauty and her acting career since 2020, releasing only two singles in a span of three years.

However, it is probably understandable because according to reports, the beauty brand has brought in a significant number in sales for the singer-$300 million in 2023, to be exact.

On top of the sales, Gomez's story behind the brand has also flourished with the help of the Rare Impact Fund, which is dedicated to mental health and self-acceptance.

Ariana Grande Returning to Music

Unlike Rihanna and Gomez, Grande's makeup brand, R.E.M. Beauty pales in comparison. It is yet to be reported as ground-breaking as the two aforementioned brands, which is probably why reports revealed that the singer is making a comeback to the music scene.

According to Page Six, a source shared that Grande is back in the recording studio, working on the follow-up to her "Positions."

"Her priority has been Glinda [her character in 'Wicked'] for the past two years, and still is, as they haven't finished the film."
