Snoop Dogg Bio 

Calvin Cordozar Broadus (known professionally as Snoop Dogg) was born on October 20, 1971 in Long Beach, California. Snoop got his nickname after his mother had given it to him, due to his physical looks. Raised in Long Beach, California, Snoop often ran into trouble with the law. Not a long time passed since the rapper graduated from high school, he was arrested for having cocaine in his possession, as per All Music. Snoop was imprisoned for a minimum of three years for his run-ins with the law when he was younger. 

Snoop turned his life around by making use of his passion and interest in music to curb out his tendencies to get involve with criminal activities. Snoop began his quest to pursue his interest in music when he created homemade tapes with his friend, Warren G. Warren G was the stepbrother of famed NWA's Dr. Dre. 

How Snoop Dogg Started His Music Career 

Warren G turned over Snoop Dogg's tapes to Dr. Dre, who, in turn, liked Snoop's talent, and, thus, started collaborating with the new rapper. After a delay, Snoop Dogg's debut studio album, "Doggystyle" was released on November 1993 via Death Row records. It was the first debut album to had breakthrough at the number one spot of the chart. 

Snoop Dogg Hits, Accomplishments, and Accolades 

"Doggystyle" yielded top ten singles, "What's My Name?" and "Gin & Juice." These singles were the sources that enabled "Doggystyle" to stay atop of the charts in early 1994. At that time, Snoop's violent and sexist lyrics also propelled him to had become a marketable musician in the business. 

Snoop Dogg's most recent album was his February 2022's studio album called, "BODR (Bacc on Death Row)". The release of this album was in celebration of Snoop's acquisition of the trademark rights for the label that released his first two albums in the music business.

Snoop Dogg and Kim Kardashian are Both October Birthday Celebrants 

Like the many other October birthday celebrants, Kim Kardashian celebrates her birthday a day after Snoop Dogg celebrates his. As per People magazine, Snoop Dogg gifted the reality show star with a bouquet of white flowers and a mini freezer with some ice cream ahead of time prior to Kim celebrating her 43rd birthday on October 21.
