Kane Brown Bio

Kane Allen Brown was born on October 21, 1993 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to a white mother and a black father. Kane grew up mostly in Redbank, Tennessee with his mother, as per All Music. The singer first showed a sign of interest in music while he was a high school student.

Kane initially intended to explore his passion for R & B music. However, he shifted his focus for his music interest to country after having won an 11th grade talent contest, performing his own rendition of Chris Young's "'Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress)" song.

How Kane Brown Started His Music Career

Having been inspired with his success in tapping into his interest in country music, Kane started posting videos of himself online doing his own covers of songs of Brantley Gilbert and Alan Jackson, just to name a few of iconic country music musicians Brown looked up to. The eventual loyal fan base Kane was able to establish was the primary source of helping his debut single,"Don't Go City on Me" drive massive popularity upon its release in the market in 2014.

In 2015, Kane released his debut EP album, "Closer." "Closer" climbed the top ten of the Billboard country albums chart. As a follow-up to "Closer", Kane released a sole single called, "Used to Love You Sober."
