Griff is a singer-songwriter who rose to prominence following the release of her debut single "Mirror Talk," which earned critical acclaim; and it seems like she has the approval of Taylor Swift as well.

The 22-year-old singer unleashed her newest music release, "Vertigo Vol.1," with two new songs "19th Hour" and "Into the Walls."

Griff is a rising star in music, however, she was brought to more people's attention when she was given a shoutout by Swift on Instagram.

A month ago, the "Anti-Hero" singer took to the social media platform to commend Girff for her newest release "Vertigo": "Damn, Griff, I love this one."

Swift's single post gave the singer an instant boost, and according to reports, over 271 million clicks were generated.

"What!! Is!! Happening!! I have no words," Griff excitedly responded. "Now everyone go do what the queen says and stream 'Vertigo.'"

Griff on Her Interactin with Taylor Swift

As she was being interviewed for her latest release, Griff was asked about the now-famous interaction she had with Swift.

"It's still the most crazy thing in the world," the 22-year-old gushed. "Her popping up the other week and posting 'Vertigo' is the most crazy thing because it's like - she never posts and she really doesn't have to do that. So it's really kind of her to be so generous with promoting that."

She then went on to explain what her connection to the "Lavender Haze" singer is really like.

"She's like this fairy godmother that pops up and makes things amazing for me and then I just live in that for the next period. It's amazing."

Who is Griff?

Griff has been around since 2019, but since she is based in the United Kingdom, her music has taken quite some time to penetrate through the American market.

Talking about her song "Vertigo," she explained that it is a "sad, heartbreak" track.

"When someone leaves your life, you spend a lot of time asking if it was your fault," she continued.

"[...] There's a darkness to 'Vertigo' that maybe I haven't tapped into as much before. It's still major, but there's something quite dark and moody about it too."

The song was reportedly written while she was going on tour with Dua Lipa for the "Future Nostalgia" tour.
