As October 24 approaches, fans have grown increasingly excited for the release of Britney Spears' memoir "The Woman in Me."

Early excerpts have given readers a glimpse into the singer's life and conservatorship, sparking interest among many.

The book promises to be full of captivating insights into the pop princess' journey.

Recently, music legend Cher gave her opinion on the conservatorship of pop sensation Britney Spears under the guidance of her father, Jamie.

Unfortunately, fans who believed she could have done more to help before now did not warmly receive this.

In a recent interview, the 77-year-old singer had harsh words for Jamie, noting that what he did was wrong.

"It only served himself instead of helping his daughter.. I hear things," she said in an interview. "But you will always love your children, and sometimes you have to step in."

Recollecting the time of their Las Vegas residency, the "Strong Enough" hitmaker commented that everyone was aware of their troubles then.

"The whole Strip was abuzz about our situation. We were unaware of its magnitude, yet we knew something was awry," said Cher.

In addition, many thought the "Toxic" hitmaker had taken some medication. Rumors began to circulate that this could be the reason for her behavior.

Cher added, "You could tell, everybody would say, 'She's medicated,' but not enough not to be able to work, and when people talk, they multiply things, but I knew there was a certain basis, there was that grain of truth, but it bothered me."

But unfortunately, Cher felt the wrath of many Britney fans who took to the Internet to express their displeasure.

According to Meaww, one such fan made a very candid statement: "Everyone seems just to be trying to get some fame from Britney now - but where were they when she needed help? People should keep their thoughts and opinions about her to themselves now."

"It's just awful," commented one fan. "How could anyone be okay with knowing someone was so heavily medicated that they were able to perform for thousands but couldn't talk to the people around them?"

Another agreed, adding, "I guess Celine Dion had hinted about it in an interview. No one made much of it, though - like seeing and saying something."

Expressing shock, one fan declared, "It's unbelievable that an iconic figure like Cher would make such a statement..."

Another angrily added, "Words are meaningless without any action."
