Cher and Alexander "AE" Edwards have yet to earn the singer's family's approval after reuniting months after their split.
The couple was spotted holding hands in Beverly Hills, Calif., on September 15 while hanging out with J Balvin, Valentina Ferrer and Tyga. They sparked reconciliation rumors after the outing and seemingly confirmed their romance again by going out on different occasions.
Cher's Family Is Worried About Her
RadarOnline.com reported that Cher's family and friends are worried after learning that she is dating Edwards, who is 40 years her junior, again.
"She's been blowing up AE's phone begging for more time together, and he's agreed, but only on the condition they pace themselves this time around," one source told National Enquirer. "The guy knows exactly what he's doing, and his best friend Tyga's in on it too."
The fear is reportedly rooted in the possibility that the music producer and his friends would only use Cher for music connections and take advantage of her credit cards to buy the things they want. People close to the singer also fear that the group might also take their parties to her mansion.
The 77-year-old "If I Could Turn Back Time" singer's sons reportedly see the relationship as a train wreck that would end up in total disaster sooner or later.
"They're gently trying to sway Cher to give AE up, but she won't hear of it. She's walking on air and won't listen to anyone," the insider continued.
Other sources previously shared the reaction of her children to her relationship. Per the insiders, her sons do not support her relationship with "gold-digger" Edwards.

Cher Chose Happiness
Following the reconciliation, Cher spoke about their relationship in her interview with People and shared that their choices helped them expand their romance.
"If you have happiness, you can't think about how long it's going to last," she continued. "You have to think about 'How does it feel?' and live in the moment."
Cher and Edwards also worked together on the track "Drop Top Sleigh Ride," which will be part of her new Christmas album.
The pair previously sparked engagement and marriage rumors, but both news earned mixed reactions because of their age difference - which, for Cher, is a plus and not an issue.
