Following Jesy Nelson's departure from the band, Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock disclosed that the three band members attended private therapy sessions.

The singer, 32, who rose to popularity in the girl group that competed on The X Factor in 2011, was open in her new autobiography Believe about the band's quarrels.

After Jesy Nelson left the band in 2020, Leigh-Anne was joined by Perrie Edwards, 30, Jade Thirlwall, 30, and formerly Jesy Nelson, 32, in the group that broke up in 2021.

She explained, "I've been to therapy during the course of my career. When we decided to pause Little Mix, I felt compelled to go back. We all did."

"In fact, it happened a little earlier than our hiatus. We were a family, the four of us were like sisters, and we had been that way since we were teenagers, so it's not an over-exaggeration to say that losing a member was a traumatic experience."

"When you have felt so much love and support with another person over such a long time and then that suddenly disappears you never fully get to understand why it hurts."

'Therapy helped me, helped all of us, process what had happened and manage the emotions that came with it. All of that messiness is now so far behind me that it's not even worth commenting on. We have moved forwards into something even brighter and stronger."

Leigh-Anne concluded her essay about her best friends Perrie and Jade by writing, "The experience pulled the three of us even closer together."

Jesy Nelson has previously opened up about her terrible struggles with mental health while she was a member of Little Mix, saying she had no regrets about leaving the group in 2020 because she felt it was necessary for her to safeguard her mental well-being.

Jesy Nelson acknowledged that it had been two years since she last spoke with Perrie, Leigh-Anne, and Jade, the other band members.

The pop diva now acknowledges she was never "equipped" for the job as she was 'just a barmaid", despite her initial admission that she found the "continuous pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard" at the time of her departure.

"For me, my mental health issues were an ongoing thing while I was in Little Mix," she said in an interview with The Sun. I was having physical problems, I was being teased all the time, and I really, truly battled.

"Believe" by Leigh-Anne Pinnock will be available for purchase on Thursday, October 26. The 'Don't Say Love' singer welcomed her second child into the world in 2021, and she and bandmate Perrie shocked Mixers by announcing their pregnancies at the same time.

Leigh-Anne's August 2021 announcement that she was pregnant with twins added to the pregnancy surprises! She posted the following on Instagram: "We asked for a miracle, and we received two." The Cubbies have arrived."
