Country star Kacey Musgraves recently finished up her run as Katy Perry's opener on the Prismatic Tour, and while the two definitely had fun, Perry has named a more natural choice to open several European dates in February and March: Charli XCX.

The English pop star (who sang the hook on "Fancy" and also hit the Top 10 this summer with "Bang Bang") will bring a more "Perry" sound to the warm-up slot.

"I'm excited — it's going to be a magical tour," XCX said in a statement. "Katy's the coolest and it's an honour to go on tour with such a pop legend. P---y power."

She recently released the video for "Break The Rules," a schoolgirl romp that ends with a twist on the traditional Prom tale.

"I can write a f-----g hit song," she told NME earlier this year. "And I'm going to write some for me now. I feel like as an artist I've done so many collaborations now that I think I just want to take this record for myself."
