A slew of stars gathered together to raise money and spread awareness to end cancer.

According to Rap-Up, celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kerry Washington and Halle Berry joined forces during the 4th biennial "Stand Up to Cancer" event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Friday.

The one-hour telethon aired across multiple networks.

Ariana Grande took to the stage to perform her ballad "My Everything" in tribute to her grandfather, who passed away of cancer in July.

She took to Twitter to express her feelings on the performance and her grandfather.

Lupe Fiasco closed out the show. He was joined by Common and Jennifer Hudson for a performance "Remission" for the first time.

Upon the song's release, Fiasco said he used personal experiences with cancer as inspiration for putting the song together.

"It was like a eureka moment," Fiasco told MTV. "I was listening to the beat in the car and I was like, 'Fighting cancer. This is the song right here.' Once I kind of established that that is what it was gonna be, I just started to pull from personal experiences that I had with people who are fighting cancer; St. Jude's commercials. Just kind of every reference point that I had from a personal point to just kind of a more general point."

Back in May, Fiasco released another fighters' anthem entitled "Mission." The track features introductory anecdotes from cancer patients including singer Charlie Wilson.
