Ms. Lauryn Hill ended up canceling her show again due to a health issue.

Hill launched her 25th anniversary tour to celebrate the release of her 1998 album, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." However, she had to postpone some of the dates due to a worrying reason.

Why Did Ms. Lauryn Hill Cancel Her Shows?

In a statement on X, Hill revealed that she had to postpone her show in Philadelphia one week after she canceled a separate show. She explained that her ongoing vocal issues are keeping her away from the stage.

"As you may know, I've been doing my best to overcome a serious case of vocal strain/injury over the past week or so," she wrote. "I fought through the last couple shows, pushing my voice, and masking the injury with medication. This isn't safe or sustainable. I woke up this morning hoping to have enough voice to get through tonight, but I can barely talk let alone sing or rap."

The 48-year-old "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" hitmaker told fans that she has to recuperate and rest her voice in order to continue the tour. For now, she has to sacrifice some of her tour dates.

A week ago, she released a statement on X and Instagram saying she had no choice but to cancel the October 23 show at Wells Fargo Arena.

Ms. Lauryn Hill Opens Up About the Importance of the Tour

When Hill announced the shows, she spoke about the reason why she felt inspired that they planned the tour.

"Both the Miseducation and the Fugees' material challenged and expanded convention by paying homage to the past, while richly embracing the present, and emblazoning the trail for the future," she said. "We represent not just ourselves but our influences and our peers who took art, culture and inspiration very seriously-- who reshaped the landscape for ourselves and for those who would follow after us."
