Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band were forced to cancel their series of concerts this year after it was revealed that the legendary singer was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease. More recently, his bandmate, Steven Van Zandt, gave an update about the musician.

The guitarist recently attended the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City where he gave details about the singer's current condition.

Regarding an update about his health, the musician told People Magazine that Springsteen is in "great shape."

As of this writing, Bruce Springsteen has yet to attend any public events or share an update about his health on social media.

Elsewhere in the interview, Van Zandt assured fans that he and his bandmates will "come back stronger than ever" when they return to touring in March 2024.

"It was a very, very intense first six months of the tour - maybe our most intense ever. And so we're gonna come back with that same intensity, and it's gonna be great," he added. (via Billboard)

Later on, he noted that it feels wonderful as they were not able to perform for over seven years and initially, they were unsure if the public still knows them, but they came back stronger in terms of "business" and "enthusiaism."

"Everything sold out immediately. So it was a wonderful surprise and, I think, just a tribute to the craft," he noted.

The recent interview comes a few days after it was confirmed by the legendary singer that he and his band will make a big comeback in 2024 following the series of cancelations of his concerts.

The new dates of his United Kingdom shows will now start at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on May 5, 2024, and will wrap up at the Wembley Stadium in London, England, on July 25, 2024.

After he was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease, Springsteen took to social media to tell his fans that he was thankful for their understanding and he was sorry for canceling the shows.

"Despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still unfortunately, rocking my internal world," he added.
