You have to hand it to Jay Z and Beyonce. They have really mastered commenting on all of the rumors and allegations swirling around regarding the state of their marriage without ever really saying a word. These two and the powerhouse team backing them really gets it—a photo speaks volumes and it is the best tool ever to at least present a united front. This weekend there are snaps of the couple celebrating Beyonce's birthday in Portofino, Italy and they looked about as loved up as ever but is it real? It only takes two minutes to stroll hand-in-hand when the paparazzi and those photos could buy the power couple another week of peace in the media.
What we know for sure is that marriage is hard and Beyonce and Jay Z are going through stuff. When several people that have never met tell of similar backstage fights and the fact that the couple wasn't even booked into the same hotel at each On The Run tour stop, well it's not a coincidence. Even at the 2014 VMA's the struggle was real. Sure Bey, Jay and Blue Ivy were the visual of a happy family onstage but behind the scenes was reportedly a battleground.
