Variety has annually recognized writers, producers, publishers, managers and executives who were instrumental in making the 25 most-consumed songs of the year.

On their seventh annual gathering, the publication released its honorees this year - which includes big names in the industry today.

2023 Variety Hitmakers Celebration Honorees

The celebration for the Variety Hitmakers Celebration Winners will cap off with an invitation-only brunch on Dec. 2, 2023, organized by Sony Audio and the "For The Music" campaign.

Among this year's top honorees is SZA, who was named Variety's hitmaker of the year, with her smash song "Kill Bill."

"The goal of Hitmakers always has been to honor the top artists and songs of the year, and especially the people behind them," said Variety Executive Music Editor Jem Aswad. "SZA, her 'SOS' album and tour, and her hits this year are not only a creative and commercial triumph, but one with a reach that stretches far beyond the music world. We are so proud to honor her as our Hitmaker of the Year, and to honor Olivia Rodrigo, Metro Boomin, Maren Morris and more."

Meanwhile, Metro Boomin's prowess in production has been exemplified by producing multiple Hip-Hop hits, especially the "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" soundtrack.

However, it was Mark Ronson's highly-acclaimed "Barbie" soundtrack that takes Soundtrack of the Year, along with Billie Eilish and FINNEAS' "What Was I Made For."

After her controversial departure from the country music genre, Maren Morris is being honored as the Changemaker of the Year.
