Azealia Banks, Troye Sivan Feud Revisited: Here's What Happened Now

Azealia Banks fanned her longstanding beef against Troye Sivan after the latter shared that one of her favorite songs is one of her old songs.

Banks and Sivan previously clashed in 2018 but it was Banks who has been particularly furious with the "Rush" singer.

When Spotify asked Troye Sivan what was his "go-to pregame banger," he answered that it was Azealia Banks's "212." The answer seemed to be very harmless and full of love as it was one of her most popular songs. (via Out)

However, Banks seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed and got mad about the compliment that Sivan gave.

"This is these white kids' weird way of apologizing for bandwagoning," she started her long rant on Instagram. "Having no clue of the kind of shit happening to me behind the scenes in the industry. I'm not impressed by any of these people (who I've never met in person nor had a conversation with me) not having the audacity to be as public and loud with their apology as they were with using their platform to cast judgment as if a singular me was an important social justice issue."

In the latter part of her statement, she said that she would appreciate if these people stopped mentioning her and stopped dancing to her songs in the club if they were not going to treat her like a human being.

Banks was not done on her lash-out, now sniping on Sivan.

"And your a late condescending expired Twink anyway bitch. We've been past 212," she wrote. "Trying ur hardest to old on to the f*cking weak ass pedophilia x incest aesthetic - perpetuating that underlying double standard that somehow pedophilia practicedamongst men is somehow okay... that fueled ur trash ass music in the first place."

Netizens Shocked On Azealia Banks, Troye Sivan Lash Out

Fans are shocked by Banks' reaction to Sivan's compliment.

"there is something telling about this lady always starting drama with someone on the come up or someone starting to get some form of gp attention....and then a week later you'll see her dancing to their music whenever she's making a pot of sopa de mondongo," a user said.

"calling him a pedophile for saying he likes her song my god £/),-7,)-8,£/&," another commented.

However, some pointed out that the reason for the lash-out was Sivan's comments on Banks in 2018. (via Billboard)

"I mean, I was a huge Azealia Banks fan, but that all went south a little bit," he said at the time. "It's just one of those annoying things where you just wanna support [her] so bad and it just doesn't work out like that."

Banks was visibly furious after Sivan's comments, saying: "The white gays are obsessed. Give it a rest already. Honestly... s-t is mad annoying."
