Pantera confirmed its return to the stage following the successful summer tour.

The heavy metal icons announced the second leg of its North American headlining tour featuring Philip H. Anselmo and Rex Brown. The classic lineup will play alongside Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Zakk Wylde and Anthrax's drummer Charlie Benante to continue celebrating the lives of Pantera's late founding members, Vincent "Vinnie Paul" Abbott and "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

"We're really excited to announce new dates in 2024. Looking forward to bringing the show to some cities we missed in 2023. Come jam!" Brown said.

Pantera Confirms First Guest

Ahead of the first show, Pantera confirmed that Lamb of God will join the band members again in the upcoming shows. More supporting acts will be announced in the next few months.

About Vinnie Paul and Dimebag

According to reports, Vinnie Paul and Dimebag's estates approved of Pantera's current lineup after Wylde previously said he would not tour with the band anymore - though he changed his mind eventually.

Vinnie Paul died from dilated cardiomyopathy on June 22, 2018, at his Las Vegas home at the age of 54.

Meanwhile, Dimebag was killed onstage on December 8, 2004 while performing "Breathing New Life." Former marine Nathan Gale ran across the stage before shooting the musician thrice at his back and once at his hand. The suspect was shot by officer James Niggemeyer.

"I knew from that distance I could shoot the suspect, as long as I aimed high enough and wouldn't hurt the hostage," Niggemeyer told MTV News. "At that point, almost immediately, I fired."
