Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift have been good friends even though they broke up in 2009 after dating briefly. Unlike her past exes, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner went on to become good friends, along with Lautner's wife, who is also named Taylor.

Now, Lautner reveals his feelings as to how he feels about being considered by Swifties as Taylor Swift's "Best Ex-Boyfriend."

Taylor Lautner Is Taylor Swift's 'Best Ex-Boyfriend'

Speaking to People Magazine, Taylor Lautner shares his candid thoughts about being called as Taylor Swift's "Best Ex-Boyfriend" by millions of Swifties worldwide.

"[That] sounds like a nice compliment to me. I will take it," he simply said about it.

Notably, Swift and Lautner met on the set of "Valentine's Day," a romance-comedy flick where they both starred as high-school lovers. Afterward, the two went on to date but they eventually broke up in 2009.

Taylor Swift's song, "Back To December," was allegedly a track written for Lautner.

"She let me know that I'm the only ex without a diss track now," Lautner confirmed. "So that sounds like a nice thing. I'll take it and run. No complaints here."

It has been fairly known that Swift writes about heartbreak and love in her songs and fans have speculated which song corresponds to her ex-boyfriend at the time.

For example, "Mr. Perfectly Fine" from "Fearless" was allegedly written for Joe Jonas. "Dear John" from "Speak Now" is for John Mayer, "Style" is for Harry Styles, "All Too Well" is for Jake Gyllenhaal, and "Picture to Burn" is for Jordan Alford.

Some even speculate that despite Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift breaking up post-"Midnights," fans deduce that a number of songs seemed to have foreshadowed the rumors about her breakup with the British actor.

As for Lautner's wife, who considers herself a "diehard" Swiftie, she says that in her mind, "they're not even exes," as she is their "friend."

Taylor Lautner 'I Can See You'

When Taylor Swift released "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" she recruited Taylor Lautner on the music video of one of her vault tracks - "I Can See You" - along with Joey King and Presley Cash.

The action-packed music video got Lautner invited on the re-recording launch at "The Eras" Tour in Kansas City earlier this year.

"She deserves everything that she is getting and going through right now because she's the hardest-working person," Lautner went on to say to People Magazine. "And just being at the pinnacle that she's at right now, the way that she carries herself and is just so gracious and kind to absolutely everyone, no matter who you are, it speaks to her character. And that's the greatest part about her in my opinion."
