Inaugurating the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards in Seville, Spain, Rosalía had the distinction of kicking off the ceremony with a unique performance.

With the support of more than twelve guitarists, she performed a rendition of the 1985 hit song "Se Nos Rompió El Amor" by the legendary Spanish singer Rocío Jurado. See a rerun below.

With "Despechá," Rosalía is up against tracks by Shakira and Bizarrap, Karol G, Christina Aguilera, and Maluma and Marc Anthony for the Record of the Year nomination.

Motomami took home four Latin Grammys last year, including Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album.

The 2023 ceremony will be broadcast live on Univision from the Fibes Conference and Exhibition Center in Spain, and fans can tune in to watch.

Rosalía began this year by releasing the single "LLYLM." She then went on to release numerous more songs, such as "Tuya" in June and her most recent duet with Björk, "Oral," with the earnings going toward stopping fish farming in Iceland.

Together with her now-ex-partner Rauw Alejandro, Rosalía also released her RR EP.

Meanwhile, Shakira sang her ballad "Acróstico" tonight at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards in Seville, Spain.

She approached a grand piano slowly while surrounded by mirrors and then played recorded video of her two kids, Milan and Sasha, performing the song's lyrics.

Bizarrap's own concert later in the evening featured Shakira's comeback to the stage for "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53."

Even though the Latin Grammy Awards are still in progress, Shakira has already won three awards tonight: Song of the Year and Best Pop Song for Bizarrap's viral "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53," as well as Best Urban/Fusion Performance for her feature on Karol G's "TQG."

In addition, she received nominations for Best Urban Song and Record of the Year.

The awards event, which is in its 24th year, is being broadcast live on Univision from the Conference and Exhibition Centre in Sevilla, Spain. This is the first time the ceremony has taken place outside of the US.

This year's other nominees for honors include Peso Pluma, Rosalía, Karol G, Bad Bunny, and Rosalía.
