Kelsea Ballerini has a special friendship with the Jonas Brothers as they have been connected for years now. The country musician has always expressed her admiration for the group's songs and she was also able to tour with them in the past.

Since the two musical acts have been beloved by fans for years now, many people expressed their desire for them to collaborate in the song, but do you think it's overdue already?

Ballerini took to her official Instagram account last week and it appears that they almost collaborated on a track, but it never saw the light of day as she claimed that she was replaced by another musician.

During the Q&A, the singer answered a fan who asked about the future of the Jonas Brothers and her music being combined in a major track together.

She later noted that she was supposed to be a featured artist on the song "Strong Enough" until she was replaced by another singer.

Ballerini didn't hold back as she answered the question as honestly as possible.

"To be so honest, I was on 'Strong Enough' but did indeed get replaced hahahaha," she told her followers.

Regardless, it appears that she was happy with how the song came to be as she noted in the Instagram story that it was "sick."

According to Taste of Country, Ballerini first teased fans about the collaboration in early November when she attended the CMA Awards.

At the time, she explained that she met with the band in Boston as they invited her to watch their show in the city following her show with Morgan Wallen.

Weeks after that, she received a song from the trio, and then "all of a sudden I'm on a text chat with Nick, Joe and Kevin. We were, like, talking about it, and then now we have a song coming out."

Unfortunately, her version wasn't released and Bailey Zimmerman appeared on the track instead.

She previously said that her performance at the CMA Awards this year will be her "closure" as she's ready to open another door.
