People from around the world celebrate Thanksgiving as some families prefer to just sit down and watch television, while others love to feast on a massive turkey and other holiday fixtures. In Keith Urban's case, he was surprised when he celebrated the occassion in the United States for the first time; what happened?
According to Taste of Country, the country star was born and raised in Australia, which meant he was not used to celebrating Thanksgiving, that's why he had a major culture shock upon entering the US soil.
In a previous interview, the singer recalled that his first Thanksgiving was over two decades ago and he explained: "the first one I ever had, I remember going to this family's home, they invited me to Thanksgiving, and I couldn't believe the volume of food. It was insane. I've never seen so much food in my life."
He further elaborated that after having dinner, there were over 12 desserts and he was surprised about how many the food was.
When he asked why there was a lot of sweet treats following dinner, the people explined that "every aunt and every grandma, everybody brought their thing, their special dessert, and you have to try everyone of 'em."
Since those who made the different dishes were watching, Urban had no choice but to try everything.

It seems like there are a lot of things that Keith Urban is thankful for this year, most especially his marriage to Nicole Kidman as they celebrated their anniversary earlier this year.
Back in June, the couple marked their 17th year together as husband and wife as they greeted each other with sweet and short messages on social media.

The couple shares two children together named Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
