While some turned their backs on Ariana Grande for allegedly "cheating" on her estranged husband and "wrecking" someone's family, her friends have guaranteed they would always support her.

Grande sparked dating rumors with Ethan Slater, who was still married at that time and a father-of-one, when reports that she and Dalton Gomez called it quits emerged. The pair reportedly met on the set of "Wicked."

Despite the clarifications that she already ended her marriage to her estranged husband, she garnered criticism over the past months.

Ariana Grande's Friends Support Her New Relationship

Speaking with Us Weekly, a source said Grande and Slater's relationship is getting "super serious" as they have been very "involved in each other's lives." With that, her friends reportedly support them 100 percent.

"They think he's the perfect match for her," the source added. "Ethan is extremely respectful of her boundaries and her profession."

Experts reflected on the breakup and said Gomez failed to keep up with Grande's popularity - the same thing that happened between Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn.

Senior therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker from "Working On The Body" told The Mirror that "societal expectations and traditional gender roles can challenge these scenarios" indeed affect relationships where women are more powerful than men.

"Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez, Taylor Swift, and Joe Alwyn were all in high-profile relationships where the women were arguably more famous and successful," the expert explained. "It's essential to note that fame isn't just about success-it's a lifestyle that comes with constant scrutiny, pressure, and a lack of privacy."

The comment came after other insiders claimed that the pair moved in together months after they started dating. Slater reportedly told his estranged wife, Lilly Jay, and his friends that he is living with the "thank u, next" singer in New York.

Ariana Grande Painted as the Main Villain

Before her relationship with Slater started, the "7 Rings" hitmaker had dealt with similar backlash due to her romance history, including her alleged cheating incident on Jai Brooks to date Nathan Skyes in 2013.

The public also called her out for damaging Slater's family, who just welcomed their first child in August 2022.

Late "Glee" actress Naya Rivera also slammed Grande for spending time with her then-beau, Big Sean.
