Jessica Simpson's daughter is reportedly refusing to wear her mom's hand-me-downs. Is she spoiled?

Course not, as there is a perfectly good reason why the barely-a-tween cannot wear her mom's shoes, ever.

When Jessica Simpson accepted the Footwear News Icon Award on Wednesday, she looked stunning in a gown adorned in crystals. While on the red carpet, she shared an interesting shoe-related anecdote about her 11-year-old daughter, Maxwell.

"My oldest daughter is 11 and she's a size 10," the fashion entrepreneur, 43, told Extra, adding, "she surpassed me a long time ago."

The mother of three revealed that although she would probably find a way to wear the many "shoes saved for her" from her own collection, she wouldn't be able to pass them on.

Simpson said Maxwell would "probably use them as a purse, knowing her," adding, "She'll make them into some amazing piece or she'll do some artwork with them."

Positively, Simpson can share her passion of shoes with another mini-me.

She said, "I do have Birdie, and she might have more of a petite situation going on," referring to her 4-year-old daughter and her 44-year-old husband.

Simpson said, "If not, by the time she's like six, I'm shoving her foot in them, just in case, 'cause I did not with Maxwell."

The pop artist has a predilection for tall platform heels, and the busy mom probably has quite the collection of shoes, many of which are from her Jessica Simpson line.

Aside from her children, the former reality star talked further with Extra about her design company and how style comes easy to her.

"I do love it that I can dress everybody, like a friend... in my hotel room, I'm dressing my friends, in my house, I'm dressing my friends and so I feel like with the world, I'm dressing my friends so it's simple for me," she said.

"I want to make people feel good, look good, and be comfortable owning themselves," the footwear icon added.

Shoes aside, fans should rejoice because she also talked about new music. Simpson teased, "Music is definitely coming.

"That's something that lights me up. I've been in Nashville writing. I just finished writing, now I'm going to be recording and then the world gets it."

Jessica also talked about her family's Christmas plans. She pointed out, "I feel like we've already had Christmas, like, my kids have, like, put their trees up last month right before I came here. We were finished decorating all the trees... There's people putting lights on the house right now... I'm going to come home, it's going to be like Griswald Christmas when I go home!"
