Selena Gomez has quite a very unpredictable relationship with people on the internet. Maybe it was because she is by far one of the most popular and influential people on the planet or that she just got plenty of detractors, that had to be settled.

Very recently, Gomez confirmed a fan account's speculation that she and songwriter-producer Benny Blanco have been dating.

The account posted a photo of Gomez and American record producer Benny Blanco cozying up on each other. Gomez commented on the post, saying: "He is my absolute everything in my heart."

Replying to more users who seemed to have questioned the relationship, Gomez confirmed that Blanco was "the best thing that ever happened" to her and that he was "better than anyone" she had ever been with.

However, another user still seemed to press Gomez with questions, but it seemed to tip off the singer.

"I don't understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest," she said. "If you don't feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I'm done. If you can't accept me at my happiest then don't be in y life at all."

The cherry on top was that Gomez doubled down on the confirmation by posting a photo of her and Blanco on her Instagram story.

Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco Relationship Gets Thrashed Online

As Gomez continued to engage with people to confirm her relationship with Benny Blanco, some fans believed that she had done so much more about this than other important stuff.

"she out here doing the absolute most under this post over some fuckass relationship but when asked to stand with the people of [Palestine] all of a sudden she had to take a social media bre[ak]," a user said.

Gomez unflinchingly replied to the user, saying "you're right."

Sentiment on Twitter is growing against Gomez, with some saying: "you already refuse to use your platform to spread awareness about palestine because you think it's not enough. you silently donate to the IDF masking it as humanitarian aid and now you're joking about speaking about palestine. selena gomez you are a f*cking loser."
