When Will SZA Release ‘SOS (Deluxe),’ ‘Lana’?

SZA's chart-topping and record-breaking album, "SOS," turned a year old last Dec. 9, 2023, and as a gift for her fans, she announced that she would be releasing the deluxe version of the record.

Along with the announcement, SZA also released six different album art covers for the upcoming reissue - hyping her fans about the more extensive project.

SZA 'SOS' Deluxe Version 'Lana' Released

On Instagram, SZA surprised her legion of fans when she announced that she would be releasing the "SOS" Deluxe Version.

The upcoming project is a highly-anticipated project among her fans as she disclosed back then that all the collaborators and features that didn't make it to the original project will be added to the said reissue.

However, instead of calling it "SOS (Deluxe)," SZA will be alternatively calling it "Lana," presumably an ode to her first name, Solana.

SZA released six different variations of the album cover art. In the first cover art, she is dressing up in her tent with a yellow noose in front of her.

On the second album art, SZA is now wearing a different outfit - baggy jeans and an oversized jersey with the No. 15 on it. The third "Lana" cover art was more simple - SZA sported a white shirt and white laced shorts. She also wore long white socks and brown loafers while sitting on a chair.

In the fourth album art, SZA is in a pig pen, wearing the same jersey and denim jeans she had in the second album art. In the fifth album art, SZA is holding a horse on a farm, wearing the same pair as she did in the second and fourth albums' art.

The last and probably the most distinctive album art of "SOS (Deluxe Version)" was the one where SZA stands in a field where leaves shroud her bikini area and her hair is nothing but plush greenery. The colors and the vibe were compared similarly to the colors of her debut album, "Ctrl."

When Is SZA's 'SOS' Deluxe Version 'Lana' Released?

According to plausible fan theories, SZA might be releasing the "SOS" Deluxe Version "Lana" on Dec. 15, 2023. This is because many thought that the jersey number she wore on three of the album art covers was the No. 15.

Coincidentally, Dec. 15, 2023, falls on a Friday, a day when most, if not all, album projects are released.
