Swedish EDM superstar Avicii confirmed yesterday that he is canceling all of his upcoming performances due to health issues. The 25-year-old "Wake Me Up" star, born Tim Bergling, told Billboard that he would be suspending his upcoming promotional activities and the remainder of his current tour, as well as canceling his upcoming festival appearances, in order to focus on recovering.

Avicii's health issues are related to surgeries that he underwent earlier this year to remove his gallbladder and appendix. Those surgeries forced him to cancel some performances at the time, including his headlining slot at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami and his April residency in Las Vegas. MTV notes that in March 2013, Avicii also suffered from acute pancreatic while touring in Australia.

Avicii will return home to Stockholm, Sweden for his recovery, which means that he'll be forced to miss yet another headlining slot, this time at the TomorrowWorld festival in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, which is set for Sept. 26-28. He will also be missing two more Las Vegas residencies, as well as a tour of Asia set for October. It is unclear at this time exactly how long Avicii's recovery will take.

Avicii's debut album True was released back in September 2013. The album spawned five singles, including the smash hit "Wake Me Up" featuring Aloe Blacc. He is currently working on his second album, which will feature collaborations with Chris Martin of Coldplay, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Jon Bon Jovi, Wyclef Jean, Matisyahu, and Serj Tankian of System of a Down.
