She is nominated alongside Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer," "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," "John Wick: Chapter 4," "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4," and "Mission Impossible: Dead Recknoning."

Swift has been nominated five times for a Golden Globe Awards, including this one. She has only been nominated for Best Original Song for "Safe & Sound," "Sweeter Than Fiction," "Beautiful Ghosts," and "Carolina." She has yet to win a Golden Globe.

According to Billboard, it was a huge surprise that "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" was nominated considering that a rule had disallowed it.

According to the Golden Globes Official Rule Book, "Documentaries are not eligible for any of the motion picture award categories, including the Best Motion Picture categories, and the acting, directing, screenplay, song, and score categories."

In addition, productions of live events and concerts recorded on a theatrical stage are considered documentaries, which makes them eligible. By virtue of this rule, it would be disqualified. However, a new rule overrode this.

A Golden Globe spokesperson clarified that the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement is "separate" from the guidelines that govern the said motion picture guidelines abovementioned.

They noted that while nominees like "Barbie," "Oppenheimer," and the like can be nominated for Best Motion Picture nominations, "The Eras Tour" doc couldn't be as it does not qualify on the eligibility requirements.

However, that doesn't mean that those nominated for the Motion Picture categories aren't eligible for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

Aside from Swift, other artists have been nominated for a Golden Globe, including Selena Gomez.
