Renowned Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Yandel has joined forces with Ewing Athletics to unveil a highly-anticipated limited-edition sneaker named "Ewing x Yandel Rogue," set to hit the market in early 2024. This exciting collaboration marks the first-ever partnership between the iconic sneaker brand and a Latin music star.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Yandel, a self-proclaimed sneaker enthusiast and admirer of NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing, stated in a press release, "I'm a big fan and collector of sneakers and a big fan of NY Knicks legend and NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing." He continued, "Now, I get to have my own shoe in collaboration with one of the shining stars in the sports world. It feels amazing to kick off the new year with the introduction of the Ewing x Yandel Rogue as the shoe will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024."

Ewing Athletics, historically known for its association with basketball legends, expressed equal excitement about the collaboration. "For the first time in our brand's history, we are collaborating with a Latin artist, so it's only right that we collaborate with a legend," emphasized the Jamaican-American basketball coach and former professional athlete.

The product campaign, featuring both Yandel and Ewing, was shot against the iconic backdrop of New York, further emphasizing the unique fusion of Latin music and sports culture.

Packaged in an exclusive Ewing and Yandel branded box, the sneaker boasts a stylish gray and white nubuck and leather upper with scuba blue accents. Adding a personal touch, the package includes a Spanish-language booklet narrating the shoe's story and tissue paper adorned with the Puerto Rican flag.

Scheduled for release on January 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. ET, the Ewing x Yandel Rogue will be available for purchase on ewingathletics.com and yandel.com. This exciting collaboration follows a series of notable achievements for Yandel, including being a two-time nominee at the 2023 Latin Grammys, signing a deal with Warner Music Latin, and making history at the Empire State Building as the first Latin act to perform during Hispanic Heritage Month.
