Paramore had everyone at the edge of their seats when they shared a cryptic Instagram post about a supposed disbandment in the future.
However, social media users and fans took a deep dive and debunked the alarming announcement.
Is Paramore Disbanding Soon?
When one would check their Instagram Story, Paramore shared a cropped image of a quote from an article.
The said quote said: "Now that Paramore has spent the year touring behind "This is Why (and making sure to take better care of themselves while they're at it), a chapter of the band's career has come to a close. They've now fulfilled all label obligations and are effectively free agents. As for the future of Paramore, all three members agreed that there's a level of uncertainty."
That cropped quote alone had fans scared, as the idea of them disbanding came out of the blue.
"I need paramore to know that my level of anxiety can not deal with uncertainty," a fan shared.
"man why couldn't everyone think paramore were disbanding BEFORE their tour tickets went on sale," someone commented.
"i am paramore-my favorite band since i was literally 9 years old. i obviously want them to do what is best for all of them but i'd be lying if i said this didn't have me quaking in my boots rn" someone tweeted.
Paramore Disbanding Soon Debunked
Apparently, the quote actually came from an Uproxx article, which actually clarified that Paramore would not be disbanding.
"But one thing's for sure - they're still going to be together, and they're still going to keep having fun," the quote continued. ""The only thing that matters is we will still get to be each other's community," Williams says. Farro agrees: "I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world." And wherever they end up, the massive community of fans Paramore has cultivated will be here for them, too.'"
Fans were relieved after finding out that the story of Paramore disbanding was false, as it was only a clickbait for fans to read the whole Uproxx interview.
Some fans even noted that they didn't think that Paramore would disband because they were slated to open Taylor Swift's "The Eras" Tour in the United Kingdom and Europe next year.
