Britney Spears was not going to take Justin Timberlake's subtle shade about her lying down; the singer took to Instagram to recall an instance wherein she beat him in basketball.

"Oh, Jesus Christ, the stories..." Spears wrote in her caption, seemingly addressed to the *NSYNC alum. "I could tell on the set of this one!!! There's always more to the story and that's not even half of it!!!"

The post came a day after Timberlake performed "Cry Me a River," a diss track directed at the "Baby One More Time" singer, alleging that she cheated on him during their relationship.

"It was shot in Arizona 120-degree heat... 2 different version videos were shot for this song," Spears continued. "Most boys say 'OH, IM SHOOK.'

"Psss I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball and he would cry... No disrespect," she added, coping the words that came out of her ex-boyfriend's mouth before he performed the controversial song.

Justin Timberlake Tries to Take Shots at Britney Spears

According to reports, Timberlake sang his 2002 hit single "Cry Me a River" during his recent performance, and before he went about it, he gave the audience-and maybe even the "Toxic" singer as well-a disclaimer.

"No disrespect, but ain't we all just entertainers?" Timberlake said before getting into "Cry Me a River."

This is the first time the singer has seemingly addressed the allegations Spears wrote about him in her best-selling memoir, "The Woman in Me."

Britney Spears Drags Justin Timberlake

The Internet began losing interest and mocking Timberlake after Spears dropped her bombshell memoir, which included several details about their relationship.

According to reports, among the revelations Spears shared about their relationship was the pregnancy she terminated.

"It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I'd anticipated," she wrote.

"But Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

Timberlake has not addressed the memoir nor did he share a statement confirming nor denying the alleged pregnancy and abortion.
