Demi Lovato and Jordan "Jutes" Lutes are now engaged; have they been planning for this special event since earlier this year?
According to People Magazine, Lutes proposed to Lovato with a pear-shaped diamond solitaire ring at their favorite Los Angeles restaurant, Craig's, surrounded by family and friends.
"I'm still speechless," the Disney Channel star turned singer gushed in her lengthy social media post. "Last night was the best night of my life and I can't believe I get to marry the love of my life," tagging Lutes.
"My love, I'm beyond excited to marry you... every day I've spent with you has been a dream come true and I can't wait to love and cherish you forever. Here's to the rest of our lives. I love you, baby."
Meanwhile, Lutes took to his social media pages to share the same sentiments: "Yesterday i asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes.
"I can't imagine my life without you and thank god now I'll never have to. feeling like the luckiest man alive right now. I'm so in love with you."
Demi Lovato, Jutes Lutes Engagement: A Long Time Coming?
The couple has been pretty open and candid about their relationship as well as the idea of getting married.
"It's been about a year and a half [of dating], so we're taking our time with it a little bit, you know? I think it's important not to rush that," the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer told Howard Stern in September.
"We started off as friends, and we built that foundation of friendship first. There's this partnership there that is just so magnetic, and the way that we laugh together - it's just nonstop."
Elsewhere in her interview, Lovato talked more about her connection with Lutes, and their passion and love for music.
"We actually met in the studio. So he's an artist, but he's also a songwriter. He came in to write on one of my sessions and I was in the studio and was immediately attracted to him. I like texted my friends on the side and was like, 'He's so hot!'"
She went on to talk about how their relationship is "amazing" and "feels so healthy."

Demi Lovato Jutes Lutes Relationship Timeline
According to Us Weekly, the "Heart Attack" singer and Lutes began a professional relationship; they collaborated in the recording studio for Lovato's eighth album, "Holy Fvck."
By August 2022, they debuted their romance via Instagram. Since then, they have been gushing about each other non-stop online.
