Taylor Swift is essentially the biggest and by far, the most important artist of this generation. This is why, despite staying on the down low, her most recent album, "1989 (Taylor's Version)," is expected to return to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts next week.

Nicki Minaj currently occupies the top spot with her record-breaking "Pink Friday 2," but with the midweek projections, she is expected to switch spots with Swift at the second spot from the summit.

Taylor Swift Tying With Elvis Presley On Billboard 200

According to Hits Daily Double, Taylor Swift is expected to return to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart with a staggering 120,000 album-equivalent units with 80,000 physical album sales.

Should the projections come true, Taylor Swift would officially tie with the late King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley as the solo artist with the most weeks stayed at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart in music history with 67 impressive weeks in total.

Swift's re-recording, and biggest album to date, is currently at its seventh week and it hasn't left the No. 1 and No. 2 spots since it debuted last Oct. 21, 2023.

Surprisingly, Swift was on the down low in the past few weeks and has done practically nothing for her music activity to increase like this.

In the past, Taylor Swift already became in the same elite group as the King of Rock and Roll. According to Forbes, when Taylor Swift secured three No. 1 albums in a year, she joined the likes of Garth Brooks, the Glee Cast, Elton John, The Beatles, and Elvis Presley, in accomplishing the said chart feat.

Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday 2' Billboard 200 Second Week

As for the Queen of Rap, her throne remains untarnished as she is expected to land at the No. 2 spot next week after a successful arrival back to the top this week.

"Pink Friday 2" opened with 228,000 album units, breaking the tie with Foxy Brown with the most No. 1 albums on Billboard 200 - she now holds the most No. 1 albums with three projects - "Pink Friday," "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," and "Pink Friday 2." (via Billboard)

Should the projections fall into place, Republic would secure six albums on the Billboard 200 Top 10 - "1989 (Taylor's Version)," "Pink Friday 2," "For All The Dogs," "Midnights," "One Thing At A Time," and "Lover."
